Hello,
I got the following error when I tried to hotsync with Path option,
the path I specified is /CF/Palm/Launcher, But hotsync returned the following error:
iSilo: Target volume [CF] not available. Taking default action.
iSilo: Write to external media failed:[unknown error]
Source: C:\Program Files\Sony Handheld\Issach\iSiloI\Launcher
Destination: /Palm/Launcher
OK iSilo with 1 message(s)
The volume name of my Compact Flash card is "CF", I wonder what's wrong.
I tried to install iSiloX into another PC, same error. I'm using the latest beta version of iSiloX.

What model device are you using? Does it have multiple card slots?

Oh yes, I'm so sorry that I missed such important information.
My machine is Song Clie NX80V, and yes, it have multi slot, one is Memory Stick and the other is Compact Flash.
I have change the volume name of both card to MS and CF.
The OS is english version, and there's little more information that I had once
sync to the Palm successfully, just once. I didnt know what make that worked. But as far as I know, I didnt change any setting.

Attached is a zip of a special version of the iSilo Install conduit DLL that adds some additional lines to the log when the specified card can not be found. Please download the zip file, unzip it, and then copy the extracted iSiloI.dll file to the directory where you have iSiloX installed, which by default is "c:\Program Files\iSilo\iSiloX".
After doing so, convert a document that has its destination path set to the CF card as you originally mentioned. Then please post the resulting HotSync log lines.

For the path, if you want the file copied to a given directory, you need to have a trailing slash at the end of the path. Otherwise, the last part of the path is assumed to be a file name. This may be the issue you are having. So if you want the file copied to the /Palm/Launcher directory of the card with the volume name CF, you need to use "/CF/Palm/Launcher/" as the path value. Notice the slash at the end. The file will be written with the default generated file name. If you want to specify your own file name, you specify the file name at the end as in "/CF/Palm/Launcher/MyFileName.pdb".
Please consider the above and let us know whether it solves the issue.

Thanks for your prompt reply, it's working now.
It'd be very helpful if the error message could give us more information.

I'm having the same issue but on my ipaq.
Seems I can't get it to store the .pdb file in my CF card. Isilox will put it into my file store if I set it to external.
LOVE this program BTW. It's a minor irritation to hand copy the file myself, but it would be super to automate this process.
TIA

I assume that you are using iSiloX version 4.01 or earlier. Version 4.05, currently in beta, has a new feature that should address the issue for you, but let me explain the behavior in version 4.01 and earlier first.
When you specify "External memory card" as the destination, the iSilo ActiveSync service provider component that manages copying of files to the card looks for the first available storage volume with enough space for each file. The "iPAQ File Store" is presented to the iSilo ActiveSync service provider as one of the storage volumes. If it happens to be the first one presented with enough space, then the file goes there.
iSiloX version 4.05 adds a new feature, whereby you can explicitly specify the path where you want the file copied. So you would explicitly specify "\iPAQ File Store\My Documents\iSilo\" or "\Storage Card\My Documents\iSilo\" or whatever path you prefer.
