The annotation featore, if implemented well, can be a great tool that makes e-books superior to traditional books on paper. The lack of annotaion possibilities have been the major reason that i haven't used iSilo before and i'm sure it's the same way for many others. It's great that iSilo has this possibility now, but it needs some improvement - as can be expected for a new feature. I hope that this is a prioritised feature for future releases. I have a few suggestions:

I have notised that many have commented on the colors used for highlighting. Most of the colors are usable if u use light text on a dark background, but when you use dark text on a light background, then most colors are too dark and the rest of the colors are too bright. Some have suggested that the colors should be sorted in order of lightness, wich would be an easily made improvement, but i think it would be a much greater improvement if you could choose your own colors. It would also be a good to show the colors instead of the names of the colors in the list. It would also be very nice to be able to choose a color for the text as well as the background and maybe also a color for underlining.
It would be very useful to be able to create links in annotations. Mobipocket has the possibility to create links directly from the text, but, imho, it is much better to have the links in the notes. That way it's possible to have more than one link and to write what it links to. YanCEyWare reader does this in a very nice way.
It would be great to be able to categorize annotations and sort them by category, comment or text in the annotation list. It would also be great to be able to see annotations from more than one document in the same list.
A nice feature in Microsoft reader is the ability to draw directly on the page (on top of the text) In Mobipocket you can draw pictures, but when you show the picture, the text is hidden under it. both ways can be good for different things, so the possibility to choose if the text should be visible at the same time or not would be nice. This feature is not as necesary as the more basic annotation features, but personally I think it would be nice. I know that many users are apposed to adding features that are not important, and there are many good reasons for that, but personally i would like to see it in iSilo some time in the future.

The first suggestion I feel is a very important issue and the second and third would be very useful improvements. The fourth, however, is not as important and should, imho, not have a high priority.

I would love some feedback on my suggestions.

I agree with most points. On point two however I feel it is most beneficial to be able to create links inside the main page text - not the Note. Then I can see the link straight away and it is basically enhancing the usefulness immediately. If it was inside the note then I would not see the link unless I hovered over the annotation.

Unless I misunderstand your implementation?

Thank you for your feedback!

I can see the advantage with implementing links the way you suggest but there are also a couple of draw-backs. One is that it's not always obvious what the text links to and there would be no way to show it. If the link is in a note, then the text in the note that is linked from can say what it links to. Another draw-back is that one word (or highlighted area) would only be able to link to one place. A note attached to a word (or a highlighted area) in the docoment could, on the other hand, contain several links.
With links in notes, it would still be possible to show that an annotation contains a link by for example underlining the annotated text in the main document or giving it a certain color.

With linka in notes, it would take one extra tap to go to a link, but you would, on the other hand, be able to see what the link points to and you would be able to choose between different links.

I think both ways to link can be preferable in different situations. Maybe it would be a good idea to make it possible to create links both directly from text in the main document and in notes.
