View Full Version : Nokia E65
When I tried to install 5.01beta1 to E65, it said 'Certification Error' and stopped the installation. How can I solve it ?
Thanks

Try going to 'Tools | App manager | Options | Settings' and set 'Software installation' to "All". and 'Online certif check' to "Off". You should now be able to install any compatible Series 60 3rd edition programs whether they are signed or not.
Thanks a lot, it works but I have another 2 questions:
1. The beta can access the pdb files in the memory card; and
2. The encoding is 'document specified' and I cannot read the content.
Please tell me what to do. Thanks a lot.

You can use the Device and Storage Cards view to navigate to any directory on the memory card. It is the rightmost tab in the document list view. Use the C key to navigate back up the directory hierarchy.
With the document open, go to the Tools menu and select "Document Information". In the screen that appears, what does it say the encoding is in the "Text:" field?

On your device in iSilo, with a document open, go to Menu/Edit/Options/Font and select "Font to use". What are the names of all the fonts given as options there?

The options are:
[Default]
Sans MT UniT_HKSCS_S....
Sans MT 936_S60
Serues 60 ZDigi
SwissA
I had changed the Font to all of the above and did not work. But the problem does not happen in my another phone 6120C, which uses the same S60 ver 3.

It works and now I can read 'big5'. However, I cannot access the files in the storage card as the cursor refuse to go down the list. Thanks a lot.

Try disabling automatic refresh.
Go to Menu/Edit/Options/List and change the Refresh option from Automatic to Manual, then select OK.
