View Full Version : no one-on-one support?

I was just going to send a quick e-mail to the iSilo developers mentioning that I was happy to pay $10 for an upgrade--which I can't always say for all software. Then it became clear that there WAS no e-mail address for support. Just this forum it seems.
Others may feel differently, but this really annoys me. As an experienced user, I doubt I will need personal support, but one-on-one e-mail support is standard for software that is purchased.
I'd ask the powers that be to restore it pronto.

The iSilo Contact Page (http://isilo.com/info/contact.htm) provides an email address for support.
My question is: why?
This forum provides not only the same people for support, but it also keeps a history of the incident and allows other users to address your issues (possibly resulting in lower response times).
There is potentially the problem of issues which are "private", but you are free to create accounts on this board.
PS: As far as I can recall, the email address for support issues was always on the contact page and not the support page. In that respect, nothing has changed.

Email support is still available and for matters of a personal/private nature should be the method of communication.
But for general support, you are strongly urged to post support issues to this forum so that others can also immediately benefit from the dialogue in addition to the advantages that Voltage Spike mentions.
