I am willing to pay.

Well since all iSilo programs, do cost, I guess if we are on here on iSilo looking for a version for the iPhone that means we are willing to pay! :)

Now it seems at this point like Apple will be selling the software through their own channel (iTunes?) very much like Tmobile/Danger does with their Sidekick devices, in fact rumor has it Apple even employed some former Danger employees who have worked on this very setup there, so having said that even if iSilo was available TODAY (or lets say the day the iPhone SDK becomes available that is Feb 2008) it could take some time before Apple puts it through the "hoops" and approves it for their own distribution setup, not to mention, I am sure they want to make a profit off of it too!

We still have to wait for the iPhone/iPod (touch) SDK though, ironically I can not find this pressrelease anymore on Apple's OWN site but here is the details:

I'd be willing to pay. Say $50.
You can browse HTML in your iPhone/Touch, but it is nowhere near as fast as iSilo on for example a palm pda.

SDK anounced today with apps and app store opening late june. According to transcripts it'll only be $99 to sign on with Apple as a developer and a 30% cut to Apple for having it on their storefront. Hopefully iSilo will jump onboard and be one of the first to release an app.

If they get 30% then more than likely I will not be delivering apps in iSilo then.

Darn.

Do you have a link to this?

Remember that your program will be instantly marketed to EVERY iPhone user via iTunes. That is a huge audience that is growing rapidly. Also, the iPhone will be gaining business users as well an the new software release will be compatible with Microsoft Exchange Server.

Please don't give up on us. We need you!

Oh I personally would buy iSilo. Over and over again for each new device that I purchase as it becomes available :-)

Even though I write software for PDA's, I think that iSilo is perhaps the best written program for ALL handheld devices and is the most useful.

I just would not plan on marketing any products through Apple because I have a niche market and the products are not generally needed (or wanted) by the general public. I would just be losing 30% of what I make. Otherwise, I market everything that I create through my own web site.

So, I still vote for iSilo for the iPhone, I just would not be able to increase it's sales by also marketing other eBooks for sale--because of Apple's policy.

I am very interested in getting iSilo for the iPhone. Imagine having 3.5" of screen area. Very few phones have that size of screen, and that amount of HD space for the price.

Trust me, I did the research. Nothing comes close to:

3.5 diagonal screen
4, 8 or 16 GB of space
wifi, quad-band, touch screen
and of course, the size and style of the iPhone
nothing comes close, and with iSilo even better.

so far the iSilo developers have been very customer oriented. People asked for iSilo on the blackberry, and not long ago they got it (beta 4 right now)

The numbers of iPhone available, and the type of customer iPhone users are, iSilo is a sure sale.

03-06-2008: hope to have a version of iSilo for the iPhone, but until we have a beta ready, we can not promise anything.

I love iSilo. I have over 50 files which I use every day. I spent more time using iSilo than chm or pdf files.

As far as ebooks are concerned, iSilo is in the top.

I for one can't wait to see iSilo developed for iPhone. I will now purchase one without the application. I have been using iPods to replace my Palm but have sorely missed the use of iSilo. I have it on my computer as well. I don't want to use a emulator to do it. I for one would be will to pay for it of course since I have paid for it on my Palm and computer. To me it is an invaluable resource.

I want to free myself of the Palm entirely.
