help,

one of my colleagues tried beam me isilo. don't know what happened but ever since my palm has been giving fatal error.
my mistake was after i got fatal error- i went home and hot sync my palm to my desktop. So when i do a hard rebut on my handheld and hot sync , isilo comes back onto my palm and creates another fatal error.
i tried calling palm pilot they could not help me. i have tried calling franklin - covey ( another third party software) - no help.
i need a way to get rid of isilo from my desktop so i don't have to erase the palm desk , lose all my data, and reinstall palm and franklin covey.

thanks,

If iSilo is truly the cause of your problems, simply search the drive for the word "isilo". There should be two files: "iSilo.prc" and "_iSiloSettingsDB_.pdb" (or "_iSiloDocSettings_.pdb" in 4.05 and later).

In Windows, the location will be similar to:

C:\Program Files\Palm Desktop\Users\xxx\Backups

In Mac OS, the location will be similar to:

/Users/username/Documents/Palm/Users/xxx/Backups

If you move these two files to a different location, then your HotSync after a hard reset cannot restore the files.

You can also delete these files from within PalmOS using a program like FileZ, but I do not know how functional your Palm is.

I hope this helps.

i have tried to type in isilo as a file to be searched, however it did not come up.

i will try your methods this afternoon.
