It would be great if there was some code that we could put into HTML pages so that iSiloX would recoginize that the web pages should not be downloaded or if this can't be done then that iSilo would make the downloaded pages unreadable.

My reason? I have a commercial eBook that is readable in iSilo. It will also be in print and we would like to have it as a subscription web access. These would be 3 separate products. We would like to be able to charge separately for each product or have a package price. However, if someone purchased the web site access, then without some sort of code as mentioned above, people could easily download the eBook to their PDA without paying for it.

Other than hoping people will be honest :-) do you have any other suggestions?

Thank you,
Linda

One approach to protecting website content so that it can't be compiled into iSilo is to incorporate things iSilo can't successfully interpret.

For instance, Flash and Java are fairly universal in browsers these days but can't be viewed in iSilo. You could put your book into a Flash interface and it would be totally protected.

Alternatively, you could make navigation and/or table of contents with Flash or Javascript and leave the remainder as HTML. With this approach, someone could build their own HTML navigation structure (to replace your Flash/Javascript version) and could then compile your content for iSilo but it would be a sufficient barrier to dissuade all but the most determined content thief.
