Has anyone experience fatal errors that occur when you have more than one reader program on your palm?

Specifically it happens when iSilo is on and any of the others are on there with it. The Palm reader and the Adobe readers both work fine together. And so does another reader that I had needed for a particular program.

However, the minute I put iSilo on and any of those other readers are on, I get fatal exception errors that then usually prevent me from hot-syncing. I end up having to do a hard-reset each time to get rid of the problem.

Much of the files that I need to read are on isilo. However, some of the files that I require are only available on the other readers.

Anyone have a solution to this??

I have even tried having iSilo on a card and one of the other readers directly on the palm -- that failed also, although the type of error I received was a different sort. The error occurred usually when I tried to close out of the reader (non-isilo).

There should be no interaction between the different readers, so it sounds unusual that you are getting fatal errors under that situation. When exactly does the fatal error occur? What is specifcally active on the device at the time that the problem occurs?

Well, for example, I used to have Adobe Acrobat reader on my palm. Then would install iSilo onto the handheld. Everythign seems okay initially ...

But then, I would try to hot sync and the fatal error would occur. Even if I completely got rid of iSilo *and* Acrobat. So I ended up having to do a hard reset.

Another time, since I have more files read by iSilo than the other programs, I installed only iSilo. But later on, I daringly ventured to try and see if I'd have problems if I installed one of the other readers ...

kablooey. Same problem. Just says fatal error when I would next try ot hot sync.

After hard resetting and reinstalling everything all over again, I went a while, and then tried to install another reader, I think it was the palm reader, I can't remember anymore ... but this time, instead of the problem occuring during hotsync, the problem would happen in teh other reader. I would go to try and open a file in the other reader and I would get an error or sometimes, the screen would just get jarbled and I'd just do a soft reset and that would get rid of it.

Someone had actually warned me before hand that this problem had happened to them also before I ever downloaded iSilo. Don't know what they have, but I have a T3.

Could it be that some areas of the memory on your T3 could be bad? So if a program happened to be stored in the bad area, then it would experience problems.

Dunno ...????

Any suggestions on remedying this??

Palm's solution in a situation like this is to "contact the 3rd party vendor".
