1. When deleting an annotation, and returning to the document, I have a scroll bar within the document and a black line about ½ way down. I can’t get out of this. When clicking on the document I have black lines in places or text that is jumbled or broken up and I see the “Done” button. It appears that the dialog box is still showing on top of the document. Eventually I can click the Done button that shows up and clear off the dialog.
It seems to be ok to delete with the popup on the annotation.
2. I got a bunch of control characters in the note when I was playing around with changing colors for an existing annotation that has no text; simply a highlight. I have been able to repeat this. It works ok with changing colors with one that has text.

Thank you for reporting those issues. We will get them fixed for the next update to the beta.

Just a note to say that these are fixed in the beta 2. Thanks

Couldn't find the "new thread" button, so I used "reply" ...
I just now downloaded 5.00 b3, so I'm still experimenting, but I can't see how to add an annotation file. When I select text > then tap the selection, I get the "No annotation file found ..." dialog as the website indicates I should, but upon tapping "OK," the dialog box disappears and the palm freezes--requiring pin reset.

Hi again... Other relevant information: In my T5, I have an SD Card. My iSilo books are located on the card. I moved one of them to RAM, and, from there I was able to make and use an Annotation file.
I then moved the book back to the card. Unfortunately the annotations did not move with it. Trying to recreate the file caused the previously-mentioned freeze-up. This new information suggests that this may not be a "T5 issue" but an "SD card issue."
I do hope this can be worked out .... many of my books are quite large and will quickly fill up my RAM... :)
Thanks. steve

Steve,
Select Edit > Annotation Settings... from the menu and choose "Select File". You will be presented with a created namd as well as location. Select OK and you will have a file to annonate to.

Usually problems like this are a result of corruption on the card at the file system level. Try creating a brand new directory on the card and copying only that one document file into there. Then from iSilo's document list view, use the "Device & Storage Cards" view to navigate to that new directory and open that copy of the document file and try to create an annotation. Presumably it should work and if so, you might want to back up all the files on your card to your desktop PC, reformat the card, then copy all the files back.

Steve,
Select Edit > Annotation Settings... from the menu and choose "Select File". ....
This also causes a freeze-up at the point that iSilo tries to access the directory.
I tried creating a new directory on the card and that didn't help...
I tried "ExternalCard/iSilo/" and "ExternalCard/NewFolder/" and "ExternalCard/Palm/Programs/iSilo/." None of these worked.
Interestingly, having an ebook at the root-level "ExternalCard/" did work. Also, using the T5's built-in chip (i.e. not RAM) worked.
Later today or tomorrow I will try reformatting the external card (a PNY 1.0 GB SD Card).
...Hmmm interesting side note: I've been using Resco Explorer to read from the card, but just now I took the card out of the T5 (to see what type it was) and upon putting it back in, I just found that the Palm's built-in launcher doesn't seem to read my folder directory/structure that's on the card--it just appears blank ... This also appears to be the case with my folders on the build-in chip too though, So it's unclear whether this is a symptom of my problem....

Please disreard this part. Obviously the LAUNCHER only displays launchable applications--i.e. not folders -duh.

Welp, doing a reformatting of the card didn't help.. I still get the above-mentioned freeze-up behaviors.
