Not sure if this is a bug in v5.0b1 on the Palm version. When you go to the Annotation settings and click the Select file... button, my Palm locks up and I have to do a soft reset. My Palm is a Sony Clie PEG TJ25.

When you do that, is the document you are viewing in the internal database storage memory of your device or on a memory card?

I have a Tungsten T3 with the program files on the internal memory and the ebook files are on the SD card. I have experienced the following bugs with iSilo 5 beta 1:
I noticed that my screen scrolls when I am trying to select the text. Also, no context menu pops up for adding annotations or highlighting text when I tap and hold.
One other bug is that I get horizontal lines through each item on my document-embedded drop-down menu lists.
There is currently no way to deselect color themes. I had to create a new color theme with a white text background to get rid of the background color.

I noticed that my screen scrolls when I am trying to select the text. Also, no context menu pops up for adding annotations or highlighting text when I tap and hold..You need to enter select mode first before you can highlight the text to annotate. The toolbar button that used to be called Copy Mode is now called Select Mode. So tap the button to enter select mode, then drag your stylus across the text you want to select. When you release the stylus from the screen, you then get the menu with the commands for copying or annotating the selected text.
When not in select mode, dragging across the screen by default results in drag scrolling.
One other bug is that I get horizontal lines through each item on my document-embedded drop-down menu lists..Did this problem also happen with version 4.x on your device?
There is currently no way to deselect color themes. I had to create a new color theme with a white text background to get rid of the background color. In the Color Theme form, the first option in the list should be "No color theme", which is what you would select to deselect color themes. The "No color theme" option is not deletable and will always be the first option in the list.

Thanks for your reply. I tried as you suggested regarding the Select Mode and it worked great. I had never used this function before so it was something new to me.
The horizontal lines were not a problem in my drop-down menus when using version 4.32.

I pre-ordered version 5 and received the new registration code. Once I typed in the registration code, the horizontal lines disappeared from my drop-down menus.
In addition to ordering iSilo 5 for my Palm tungsten T3, I also purchased the Pocket PC version for my Dopod m700 phone. I am happy to report that iSilo 5 beta 1 works great on the Dopod m700, and now my T3. Thanks for making this great reading program even better.

Hi. The database is on a a memory card.

What is the full path of the directory on the memory card where you have the document? With the document open, you can determine this by going to the Edit menu and tapping Document Information. In the Document Information the directory path is shown by the Location field.
Does the problem occur if you have the document in the internal memory of your device?

The file sits in a folder named WT. This is in the root of the card and is alongside 2 other directories: Programs and Palm. There are 4 files in the WT folder - all belonging to the database. The files are too big to run on the internal memory. The internal memory is 16 MB and the files are 153 mb; 17.5 mb; .3K AND 2.8K. The first 2 files are the main files and have to "live together" in the same folder. The memory card is 256 and has abiut 10 MB free.

We have been unable to reproduce the problem. It is possible it is a corruption issue on the card. Can you backup all the files on your card to some directory on your desktop computer hard drive, format the card, copy all the files back to the card, and then try the annotation settings again?
