Howdy y'all,
I don't know if this is where I should ask, but...
I have to say that after using iSilo for 6 months or so, I think it's great! ;)

However,...After a year of using my Pocket PC, I decided I wanted to do a hard reset to clean up some of the nonsense that had accumulated.
Everything seemed to go fine.
When I sync'ed it up to my desktop, it wanted to establish a new profile, so I did that, and all was well.
Except - In the details section of the Activesync window, The line for syncing iSilo documents doesn't show up.
When I make a new document it never gets to the handheld.

If I go to options, the iSilo line is there, but there is no box to put a check in. It won't let me adjust the settings. I changed the settings in iSiloX to sync to the new profile, but that didn't help. I registered and unregistered in iSiloX, thinking that might do something.

If I open Activesync when I'm not connected, I can change the settings to sync with iSiloX, but when I connect, it reverts back to the way it was. It says that there are iSilo documents in the queue that it is waiting to sync, but doesn't indicate what it is waiting for.

Any ideas? :o
Thanks!
seanito

I take it no one else has had this problem...

Do you think that Active sync may be the problem?

Have you tried reinstalling iSilo on your Pocket PC device? Make sure that you use the installation program for iSilo. Note that you can't just copy the iSilo program files to your Pocket PC since the installation installs the necessary device side iSilo ActiveSync service provider as well as sets up the necessary registry entries on your Pocket PC so that the server/desktop side iSilo ActiveSync service provider can communicate with the device.

That was it.

I had reinstalled iSilo on the handheld using the cab file (I think that's what it was) but didn't reinstall using Activesync. So my desktop didn't know what was going on.

Thanks!

I am having the same problem on my smartphone. Isilo loaded on the smartphone, and I can view the sample documents fine. But in activesync under options, there is no place to put the check mark by isilo. I have tried re-installing but with no good results. Can someone give me a step by step approach to fix this problem? Thanks! Mike

If by smartphone, you are referring to Windows Mobile Smartphone, there might not be a solution for you. See this thread.

Ok since there is no solution and Isilo won't be an option for me, can you recommend another product that might do the job? I am aware of only repligo. They are ok, but I don't like how they leave out pictures when using flowed format. Any other options? I would love to stick with isilo, but apparantly I can't.

Even though you can't use iSiloX to directly transfer content to your device using ActiveSync, it does not preclude you from using iSilo. You could do your conversions with iSiloX and copy the files to your device using other means. So for example, you could do your conversions and have the files saved to any directory on your hard drive. You could then copy the files to your device using ActiveSync's device file explorer or to a memory card with a card reader. Or you could insert your device's memory card into your card reader and have iSiloX convert the content and have the files go directly to your card.
