I am a bit confused as to just what I must do and/or get to live happily for ever after with a document reader. I have a Toshiba e355 running pocket pc2003 with a pxa255 processor. What I want to do is download to manuals and instruction sets I use daily from the Internet to my desk top/ laptop and then transfer them to my pocket pc. I can use Isilo or Adobe to do this, I would like to use Isilo because it's smaller and does everything I want it to. Now for the confusion part, do I need Isilo 4.0 for Windows, for the desktops and 4.0 for Pocket PC for the Toshiba as well as winzip or another zip utility to do this. Next question is there a set of detailed installation instructions for the pocket pc? I found them for the Plam, but not sure if they are the same. Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

If you are using Windows or Mac OS, you can use iSiloX to convert from HTML format to iSilo format. You can obtain iSiloX from the download area at http://www.iSiloX.com (http://www.isilox.com/).

You can find a couple of tutorials that may get you started with iSiloX at http://www.iSiloX.com (http://www.isilox.com/) in the support section. In the support section, click on tutorials.

You do not need "iSilo for Windows" unless you want to be able to view iSilo documents on your Windows computer. Note that "iSilo for Windows" is not the same as iSiloX. "iSilo for Windows" is the document reader for Windows, while iSiloX is the document converter.

Give the tutorials a try and ask if you have any further questions after that.

I quess based on what you said here and the support section that inorder to use iSilo I need to purchase Isilox to convert documents ( except Adobe which it can not do) from the intenet. I then need to buy Isilo for windows to read the documents (except Adobe) on the computer that I converted them on. Then I need iSilo for pocket pc to read the documents after I activeX it to my pocket pc. Oh yes and in here somewhere I also need an unzip utility. This seems like I have a mistaken idea here but I can not find anything to lead me to belive otherwise.

iSiloX does not cost anything. It is free to use.

You only need to purchase "iSilo for Windows" if you want to read documents in iSilo format on your Windows computer. You do not otherwise need it.

Most people only need the ability to use iSilo on their PDA, and so only purchase a license to use iSilo on their PDA.

You don't really need an unzip utility, unless you want to download the zipped CAB iSilo installation file for your "Pocket PC". If you are using Windows, then you can just use the installation setup executable file, which is a much larger download, but negates the need to deal with zips and CABs if you are not familiar with them.
