I am using a TungstenT3 and iSilo takes a full 5 seconds to load(ie. for the initial page to display fully) a 148MB iSilo file that I have. When I fill up RAM to capacity with applications and databases until less than 2MB of free RAM is left,iSilo loads the same 148MB file in less than a second.
I don't want to wait 5 seconds everytime I need to access this file but other files(eg. 1MB+ jpegs) are not loading with less than 2MB free RAM on my T3 :(
Can somebody please help me?

The problem is not so pronounced on a Sony Clie. On my NX80,the above mentioned 148MB file takes 2 seconds to load with 10MB of free RAM. With less than 2MB free RAM,the file is still faster though.
Another thing I noticed is that under Display Options, for Mode,my T3 states High Density but my NX80 states Hi Res. Would this have anything to do with the faster display speeds?

Here are some observations on how iSilo handles the above mentioned 148MB database on a T3:
After a hard reset, with just iSilo installed- 1 second to load.
What I currently have at 43MB free RAM- 5 seconds to load.
With 3MB to 10MB free RAM- 12 seconds to load.
With 1MB to 2MB free RAM- 1 second to load.
With less than 1MB free RAM- 12 seconds to load.
Can anyone give an explanation to these observations, please? :(

By any chance does the document have tables? If so, try disabling table layout (Options menu, Display, Layout) and see whether it helps.

I have tried disabling table layout and also switching to 256 colors but it doesn't make the document load faster.
Do you have an iSilo document of similar size? ie.100MB+
Does it exibit the same symtoms as what I have observed with mine?

Is there a posibility of letting the user choose how much RAM is assigned to iSilo? If I can can have the option of selecting less than 2MB RAM for iSilo,my speed problems are solved! :D

Opening a 100MB+ document on a T3 with 45MB of free storage memory was nearly instantaneous.

Yes,I tried the 148MB file I have with 44MB Free RAM and it took 3 seconds to load the 1st page. But I had to move many of my .prc file over to the Launcher folder in order to achieve 44MB of free RAM :(
Have you tried opening your 100+MB file on a T3 with less than 10MB free RAM? How long does it take? What about the same file on a TungstenT? Do you notice a tremendous speed increase when RAM is reduced to less than 2MB?
