Apple newbie fails to INSTALL ISiloX...

Sorry, but I need help: After downloading the .bin file onto my brandnew IMac nothing happens. I mean, there is no "Installer" or so like announced. It still remains a .bin file which seems not to be handled by any program.

I would really like to give ISiloX a try, but this puts a damper on my first steps... :-(

What happens when you double-click the file?

Maybe it didn't fully download, so download it again.

Files ending in .dmg will open up into mounted disks. Files ending in .sit are stuffit compressed files and will open Stuffit Expander. The .bin should work the same way.

It seems to me I vaguely recall a problem once with this... maybe you can find a different place to download the file or a different version.

It should just expand on a double-click and the iSilo programs (iSilo for the Palm and iSiloX for the Mac desktop) should emerge from hiding!

If that doesn't work, post back letting us know the web link for the file. Maybe one of us can try it out and help you trouble-shoot this!
