uncompatible report of beta1

I have tried iSilo™ 4.33 beta1 for Symbian S60 3rd Edition on my Nokia E50 China Mainland version. But I can't see the Chinese characters even I use the same language setting as that I used in iSilo 4.32 on my Moto MPx220 windows smartphone.

You didn't answer the question. What does the document information dialog say the content of the document is encoded as?

May I say something.
I am a user of N73 Chinese Mainland Version. I found that some chinese pdb files which displayed correctly on PC can't be shown rightly on my N73 using this beta1 version. As you mentioned the encoding text, which shown on PC is "unknow" and shown on N73 is three squares. So I don't know the exact encoding text, but the pdb file will be shown correctly on PC when setting the display text to GB2312. Unfortunately I can't find such setting in this beta1 version on N73.
On the other hand, the pdb files originally encoded in GB2312 can be displayed well on N73.
So I wonder how can I set to GB code in the beta version. I have tried edit->option->font, but there is no such setting.
I have such a file attached. Please help me find a solution.

just want to echo the problem I also face.

I have tried a few isilo files and sorted them below:

Text: Big5 some works fine and some don't.

Text: windows-1252 (iSiloDisplaySample.pdb) does not work (showing squares)

Text: windows-1252 (iSiloManual560.pdb) works

etc

Note: my N80 is Taiwan coded. Able to display Big5 chinese.
