THIS IS A VARIATION ON MAC USERS WISHING FOR ISILO READER.
Most of us are familiar with Apple's Iphone announcement. I am again reminded of iSilo not being READABLE on the Mac Platform. Now that ANOTHER device with Mac OS is about to come out, it occurs to me that iSilo would be a PERFECT application for use on the IPhone. I use iSilo regularly on the Palm OS of my Treo 700p. I download and regularly update on my phone all the State Laws, Court Rules, AA Meetings and many other databases that iSiloX has converted from websites without the need to go on-line. At the moment, the application platform for Iphone is "closed" in the sense that Apple would have to approve the design of any software. I imagine that means they would want a piece of any sale. iSilo would be a "killer app" for this platform....particularly since the field is wide open and iSilo is clearly the most functional of all doc readers. I hope that consumers can beg iSilo folk and Apple folk to make that happen. It would be great for all. Sorry for the length of this plea. Am I alone with this thought? :)

I second that motion.
iSilo is definitely the most used application on my treo.
Having iSilo on the iPhone or not will be the deciding factor of me getting one.

Although the iPhone isn't going to arrive in Asia until 2008 (I'm in Japan), I would like to have iSilo ready for it.

Given isilo's track record, I don't think apple would deny them at all.
Making an isilo reader available on the iphone opens vistas of possibility.

This is all about Apple not allowing ANYONE to install 3rd party sw on their phone for now!

I prefer iSilo, since it can be used offline. Also I am an author of current and future docs that don't want to release for web use.

After I posted several people wrote to me and pointed out the Unbound was not installing to the iPhone but merely using the browser to connect to a secure website. :(

With the way the iPhone is setup this was to be expected.
Here are some intersting findings/solutions though:
