iSiloX (I'm still on the trial version) synchs html files directly to my Tungsten E handheld, where iSilo is installed - that is, iSilo is not installed on my SD card. But I would like to synch these documents to my SD card and read them from there.

I have tried moving the files (using FileZ) from the handheld to the SD card, but iSilo does not recognize them there (I receive the message "Launching application from card is not supported").

Can someone walk me through the operation for synching these files directly to the SC card and reading them from it?

TIA,
Acrasia

Found my answer on an earlier post here and have precisely followed directions - even see on iSiloX that the destination is now the SD card - but the file nonetheless synchs to the handheld, not the card.

Any leads on solving this?

In iSiloX, did you check the Properties dialog for the entry in question? Note that changes you make to the Default Properties apply only to new entries you create. So if you only made the Destination modifications in the Default Properties, it does not affect any existing entries that you had already.

I'm stumped. The default destination for all files is the SD card. For each new entry, I also go through the entire process in the Properties dialogue, to ensure that it will go the the card. And before synching I can see on the main window, in the "destination" column, that the new file is marked to go to the card. But then it synchs to the handheld.

What am I missing?

Update edit: I have discovered the iSiloX button on my browser, and using it does synch the file directly to the card. It is only when I convert an html file earlier saved on my hard disk that it synchs to the improper destination. Does this info suggest any leads for solving the problem?

Would you be able to send your .ixl file to email at iSilo dot com so we can take a look?

I will be happy to if you can tell me what the .ilx file is and where I can find it - on my handheld or on my hard disk?

Also please send me the exact e-mail address to which I should submit it.

Thanks.

To determine the location of the .ixl file that you currently have open in iSiloX, go to the File menu and click "Save As". Don't actually resave the file, but just use the "Save As" dialog to determine where you saved your .ixl file.

Please check your email (address which you used to register on this forum) for a message. Just reply to it, attaching your .ixl file.
