The new menu on the latest beta is great I can now select the document I wish to view and open it up without having to use the touch screen. A great step forward in supoprt 5 way navigator.... :) Much Appreciated.....

I do have a request though, it would be nice if there was more 5 way navigator support when reading the documents too... Maybe the center button could trigger 'Close' (back to document list)...

Although I do not know of a way to make it the default, you may set the behavior of the center button on a per-document basis.

In your case:

Open a document
Open "Options/Button..."
Select "Jog/Nav push" from the "Button" drop-down list
Select "Close document" from the "Action" drop-down-list

Actually the Treo 600 support is more complete than i realised, the 'Backspace' button on the keyboard closes the current document....

So just ignore me LOL I'm very happy with this update!!!!!! ;)

The support for the treo navigator in the document list screen could still be improved.

In version 4.05b3 I can navigate around the list of documents and open them etc, but I haven't worked out how to change the tabs along the bottom, or to change the current category when in the "catagorized" view.

Also, once in a document, is is possible to add shortcut keys for each of the items in the toolbar? For example, how can I get the document to close, or the bookmark list to pop up? (previously mention backspace key doesn't simply close the document, it goes back in the link history which closes the document if you haven't gone down any links)

Items that have menu shortcuts mostly work eg I can press menu-Z to go to the bottom of the document, but the shortcut for the top of the document is menu-0. Unfortunatly the treo keyboard doesn't have a dedicated 0 key, and menu-option-0 doesn't seem to work.

All in all the new versions are improving all the time, but there are enough keys on the treo that you should be able to navigate completely without using the touch screen.

Cheers
Steve

Slightly aged thread, but my question fits here; are any other Treo 600 users experiencing problems using the center select button in the latest iSilo release? It worked fine for me in the last non-beta version, but with v4.1 it doesn't do anything at all. I've tried reconfiguring it, but it won't select an active hyperlink or go "home" when configured, though it will select from the document list. Am I the only one seeing this, or is there something specific about my (Orange UK) Treo that's been broken in the latest release?

Yup, I have the same problem. The centre button works fine in the document list, and all the various dialogue windows, but not in the documents themselves. I was using it fine with 4.05 and had it configured to bring up the bookmarks, as well as using it to select links, but it won't do either of these things in 4.1.

Bit of a fundamental problem, so I might revert to 4.05.

Version 4.15, which has just entered the beta1 (http://forum.isilo.com/showthread.php?t=626) test stage, fixes the problem where the center button of the Treo 600 does not work. If possible, please give it a try to verify.

Thanks, will check it as soon as the Treo gets back from warranty repair. :(

Edit: back and working; excellent, thanks!
