Folks,

I would like to request a new feature for a future release of iSilo for the Desktop Windows PC.

Could you have a version where the reg code telling iSilo that it is not a trial install resides on my keydrive and does NOT ADD itself to that machine's registry.

I currently am able to run the windows version off my USB key drive. It works well but I everytime I use a different computer it sees it as a trial version. If I input my reg code it works fine but it stores that code somewhere in the computer's registry.

I don't want it to do so. After a couple of experiences using shared machines that have only one logon, a bad practice but such is out of my hands, I have avoided doing it because while the iSilo reader and files are on my keydrive the code is in the registry somewhere.

And I can't get into the registry to delete it!

What I am using is a usb key drive card reader for SD cards. I have the iSilo formatted files on it and a copy of iSilo for windows (desktop) on it.

I also have a copy of iSiloX on the sd card.

This allows me to insert my sd card into my Ipaq, which has a copy of iSilo for Pocket PC, or inside a pcmcia adapter into my HPC (dreamwriter) which has a copy of iSilo for HPC or into my keydrive sized card reader for use with a Desktop PC.

I often use iSiloX to copy some data to a file and two hours later in the middle of nowhere I can review the data on my Ipaq. I like to be able to check that I have correctly stored the data by using iSilo for Windows at the time of creation.

Most times when I run iSilo on that desktop it comes up in trial mode and I just use it that way. One time however I had used a desktop far enough in the past that it came up and said expired trial - free mode. In that case I checked the file on my Ipaq. But having a some type of file on the keydrive that would tell iSilo that is the full version would be better and quicker.
