How can I determine whether Treo 650 is comes under mobile coverage.

Two quick ways to know when you're connected to your mobile network: the flashing LED light and the signal strength indicator.
If your LED light is blinking green once per second the wireless mode is on and you're within an area of mobile coverage.If your LED light is blinking red once per second the wireless mode is on BUT you're NOT in an area of mobile coverage.

Changing the ringtone for Phone, Messaging or Calendar
The built-in applications have a one-stop shop for switching tones.
Press Applications Launcher .
Launch the Prefs application.
Under the General heading, select Sounds & Alerts.
On the Sounds & Alerts preferences screen, choose an application from the pick list at the top of the screen.
To change the tones that play, tap on the Tones box near the top of the screen for each application.
