I have all my iSilo files on a 512mb card, all catagorized . I got a 1gb card and copied all the files (usb sd reader on pc) to the 1gb card. All the files are readable but all the catagories are lost. The files show up twice in catagories. Once with no information from the 512mb card and once from the 1gb card (uncatagorized). Looks like catagories are kept in a separate db and linked to a specific card.
Is there some way to convert the catagories or have iSilo catagories not linked to a specific sd card?

Try giving the new card the same volume name as your old card.

Which version of iSilo are you using?

I am using v4.32, I normally keep up to date.
Changing the volume name does work.
Since I have different cards and do want to keep them separate, is there some other way to synchronize the names?

Where are categories stored? In a file somewhere? If it were stored on the expansion card, then each card would contain catagories for the files it contains.

The category information is stored in a database in the internal storage memory of the device.

Found what I was looking for.
List | Delete Special | Synchronize DB Entries

This does exactly what I wanted. Found in the iSilo doc:

Synchronize DB Entries: Do the following:

Delete entries in the document settings database for external documents for which the associated file is not present on any mounted memory card.

For each entry in the document settings database for external documents, if the associated file path exists on only one mounted memory card, delete all but one entry among the entries with the same file path exclusive of the volume name and rename the stored volume name of the saved entry to the name of the volume on which the file path exists.

This command is useful in the case where you have renamed a memory card, resulting in multiple entries for files on the renamed card. Using the command should remove the duplicate entries.
