Right now I know that catagories can be set during document creation, and they get saved as part of the doc somehow. And they can be changed in iSilo, and that gets saved somehow, but not in the doc (if you have to hardreset and reinstall iSilo, all docs revert to the catagories they were created with).

In 4.05 so far it appears you can set a single catagory during creation and then change it in iSilo to possibly multiple catagories. Is a way to add multiple catagories during creation going to be added?

When updating a doc in iSiloX, and changing the catagory - should that be overwriting the catagory of the doc already loaded on the palm?

Heh, I know I've got more questions too, just can't figure out what they are quite yet. Is this the right place to be asking questions about the Beta? I'm trying to figure out a bit better how things are supposed to work so I can tell what's a bug to report, and what is just some feature I think is missing.

Posting support questions here about the beta is fine.

The default category that is part of the document is just that, a default category that the document gets when it is first opened within iSilo. The original impetus for implementing the default category feature was from document publishers who requested it.

If the document was previously opened, then iSilo ignores the default category. This gives the user the ability to categorize the document in a different category from the original "suggested" default category. The default category never overrides the user's categorization of the document. So if you change the default category of a document and install the updated document, the new default category has no effect.

There is no way to set multiple default categories, although it is possible to specify a category path. There are no plans at this time to add support for multiple default categories.
