Hi. I'm using iSilo v. 3.35 on a Sony CLIE SJ33.

I've had a problem on several occasions with large documents (greater than 1 MB) with lots of bookmarks (greater than 15) that are on my Sony Memory Stick. At some point, the bookmarks have gotten corrupted. The first few bookmarks appear in the list, then there is a long list of blank spaces and two-character bookmarks, most of which do not function. Adding further bookmarks doesn't work and the only fix I've found is to go back to an older backup of the file and start over.

I'm not certain, but I think it may happen when my batteries are too-low to write to the memory-stick properly (when I get to about 12% battery power, I can still run programs but cannot read/write to the memory stick). Suspecting this, I've tried to make sure I don't add any bookmarks when the power is low, but since I have to leave iSilo to check the battery, sometimes I forget. Anyway, it happened again recently and I didn't have a backup and had to go through and add all the bookmarks again, and so I thought I'd report it and see if it can be fixed.

Here's an illustration of the problem:

Regular Bookmark List:

Book One

Chapter Two

Chapter Three

Chapter Four
Chapter Five

Book Two
Chapter Six

(I haven't upgraded to v. 4.x yet because it didn't have any new features or fixes I needed, but I'm very excited about the new document-sorting features in v.4.05 and will definitely upgrade when it gets out of beta.)

If indeed the problem is the result of a hardware failure (e.g., low power), it's possible that this could be very difficult to address. It will be taken under consideration.

When there's not enough power to read/write from the memory stick, in the document list view, it lists all the documents on the memory stick as being 0 Kb in size.

So maybe iSilo could detect whether it can currently communicate with the memory stick and if not, don't try to write to it and pop up an error message when you close the document telling you it hasn't saved your changes?

Just a thought from a non-programmer. Thanks for the response.
