Hi Guys/Gals,

I have purchased an IPAQ 6828 Smartphone, well at least I assume its a smart phone cause its got a phone and its Windows Mobile 5.0.

So I downloaded the Smartphone version of Isilo, but it didnt work....it just sat at the menu and you could do nothing else.
Then I uninstalled it and tried the Pocket PC version of Isilo.....which worked as designed.

So my question...... Even though the IPAQ 6828 is a smartphone, is it meant to work with the smartphone version of Isilo (perhaps an updated version) or am I correct in installing and using the Pocket PC version. Am I functionally missing out on anything by not using the smartphone version.

Thanks

Though the rw6828 is a smartphone, it is not a Smartphone (cf. small 's'/capital 'S'). The rw6828 uses Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition, not Windows Mobile Smartphone. So "iSilo for Pocket PC" is the proper platform version of iSilo to install rather than "iSilo for Windows Mobile Smartphone".

The difference between Smartphone and Pocket PC is that a Smartphone does not have a touchscreen whereas a Pocket PC does.

That is why the software for each device is different.
