I added 8 or 9 documents a month or so ago and it (iSiloX 4.31) popped them right over to the iPAQ (Windows Mobile 5.0) running iSilo 4.31. I registered and the software accepted the registration (iPAQ side). This week, when syncing, it says checking, but then simply won't copy anything new across to the iPAQ (nor delete anything I've deleted on the iPAQ). No message - it just thinks it's finished, without doing anything. I downloaded iSiloX 4.32, but it didn't appear to change anything.

Is your device using the same device name as before? If it has changed (maybe you did a hard reset and ActiveSync saw it as a new device), then that may explain it.

The device name has not changed. Changes in other other software still sync as usual between the PC and my iPAQ. The only part that has changed is that iSiloX docs don't seem to notice changes.

Did you reinstall iSilo to a different location on your device or move the iSilo application manually to elsewhere? The iSilo installation installs what is called the device side synchronization component and it needs to be in a specific location.

I didn't move, reinstall or touch anything in any way (that I'm aware of). I just did other stuff for a month. And when I came back to do more, it wouldn't transfer.

At this point it starts to look like maybe I should reinstall iSilo on the PDA. I had grabbed "iSilo for Pocket PC" for my iPAQ. I wonder if that was the proper choice. I'm guessing now that maybe I should have guessed "iSilo for Windows Mobile Smartphone"? The system "about" on the iPAQ shows "Windows Mobile Version 5.0". Can you tell me which one I should use? I purchased a year or so ago for my Palm Tungsten T3, which soon died. I purchased again in mid April for the new iPAQ. To me this is a gotta-have piece of software.

Hello. Anyone out there? I've waited several weeks for a response and put in a 2nd question to keep my thread current. Am I going about this the right way?

The only thing I see available to do at this point is to purchase iSilo again and reinstall. But I'd like to know if my guess about which product I should purchase is correct before paying for it a third time.

All current iPAQs use Windows Mobile Pocket PC, not Windows Mobile Smartphone, so "iSilo for Pocket PC" is the right choice. You do not need to purchase another license. Simply redownload and reinstall.

For no known reason, it just started syncing again. All other programs and extra files synced fine during the few months that iSilo stopped syncing. Now, all is working fine including iSilo. I didn't install or uninstall anything at the time that it started working again, I just synced the iPAQ on a regular basis and watched for iSilo activity. Sorry, nothing useful to report.
