iSilo 4.01b3 adds the following features:

iSilo for Palm OS:

From 4.01b1: Added support for internal transcoding from UTF-8 to Windows-1252.
From 4.01b2: On the Tungsten T3, when performing a "Find Again", prevent the virtual input area from popping up.

iSilo 4.01b3 addresses the following issues:

All platforms:

Text encoded with multi-byte encodings and text requiring multi-byte processing may result in characters spaced at certain intervals not displaying correctly.
From 4.01b1: Tiny lossy compressed images may cause a failure to display the image and content that follows the image.
From 4.01b2: Opening a document may result in a blank display.
From 4.01b2: When scrolling backwards through lines with no spaces or line breaks, such as long lines with non-breaking
spaces, scrolling fails to happen.
From 4.01b2: For a page with a full page table and positioned down to at least the third screen of the page, going directly to the top of the page only results in scrolling back one screen.

iSilo for Palm OS:

On Palm OS 5 devices, when a non-device font is used, underlining of text does not appear.
When opening a password protected document, but canceling the open when prompted for the password, the document settings may be overwritten.
On the Tungsten T3, if a dialog is invoked while in full screen mode, the status bar is not rehidden after exiting the dialog.
UTF-8 encoded documents display very slowly.
From 4.01b1: On the Tungsten T3, using Autoscroll from the Tools menu often does not begin autoscroll.
From 4.01b1: When a document with content wider than the screen is opened and the tool bar is hidden, the horizontal scroll bar may fail to display correctly or at all.
From 4.01b1: On devices with the five-way navigator with the autoscroll action assigned to either the left or right button, pressing the corresponding button would not start autoscroll.

iSilo for Pocket PC

From 4.01b2: When using Battery Pack by Omega One to close iSilo while a document is open, the device crashes.

Please note that this is a beta version of the software, and as such is intended for testing purposes to help eliminate problems and issues before the release.

In my TT3 I set isilo (beta 3) to scroll page up and down with screen taps. However, in some .doc format and isilo format files, one single tap on the screen causes two or more page up/down, which is very anoying. I check with two TT3s and found the same problem.

But this problem disappears when I swith the screen to the full VG landscape mode.

I think it might be a bug.

BTW, I can't make new post in the forum but receive a notice saying "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."

Sorry that "New Posts" click is really a search command. My mistake. :p

Try doing a quick tap because if you hold the stylus down longer than a split second, it may go into repeat mode, which may be what you are seeing. In other words, if you hold the stylus down, then it will continue to scroll for as long as you hold the stylus down.

The reason why it probably does not happen when you have the graffiti area collapsed is probably due to the extra time required to draw to the larger screen area where you probably release the tap before iSilo has a chance to get back to seeing whether the stylus is still down.

Thanks for your help.

I kept my taps quick and light. The problem is not always there, but occurs from time to time. I still think iSilo is too sensitive in TT3 (except in VG landscape mode) to recognize a NORMAL single tap as such. Is it due to the fast CPU? It would be more helpful if iSilo is tuned to allow more delay in time for a single tap.
