Does anyone have converting speed problems when creating a "medium" size pdb-file (~150Kb)?

When I try to convert it takes many (2-4) minutes to convert from html --> pdb

The CPU on the server should be strong enough 3ghz, 1GB ram PIII- and Im also using htmldoc for pdf convertion of the same content and it takes only a few seconds to create the pdf-file....

Is there any way to optimize the convertion speed? any sitting or?

Hope to get some help....

Im on a fedora c3 box

That does sound like a long time. Does the source content file set possibly consist of large images in terms of original pixel dimensions?

The .ixl file does not say anything about what files make up your source content files. What comprises your source files?

I dont understand that question

Well it takes 65 seconds to create a file that is 135kb and have 80 links is that normal?

I have added the file?

In future the file will be much bigger and have more images ....

It could be possible that it could take that long, especially if you have other processes running on your system. Would you be able to include a zip of the source HTML/image files so that we can see how long it takes on our end?

May I send you a mail or internal message with a link?

Thanks for sending the link. It took about 75 seconds to convert the content from here. Note that the iSiloX conversion is single threaded, downloading one file at a time from the server, so that may be the reason for the apparent slowness.

okay so there is no way to speed it up?

If you can get all the files are on your local hard drive first, instead of having iSiloX download them one at a time, then that is one way to speed it up.
