I would like to request support for translation of characters that are unsupported on the selected output device.
For example, I wish to convert a particular document for use on iSilo on PalmOS. This document contains some Unicode characters which are not supported on PalmOS. It would be very helpful to provide some means to specify (probably in the .ixl file) that every instance of a particular character in the source document be translated into some other character (that is a suitable compromise which is preferable to '?') in the output file. It should support translation of more than one characters.
In connection with this, it might be nice to have some kind of warning message generated whenever a character was encountered in the source document which was not available on the destination output device. This would alert the person converting the document that one or more translation entries were needed.
Thank you,
Darren
