Hi all my first post. I have been using iSilo for Bible studies. I have a set of commenataries on a SD Card. My problem is I changed cards for more memory and just copied everything from one card to the other. Now when I try to access the commentaries on the list is says it cannot find that card. I can go to open file and open it that way but if I exit iSilo is will not go back until I open it from the open file menu again. I hope this makes sense. They show up in my list but I cannot just highlight them as before and open them and go to where I left off, any ideas on getting them to be recognized on the new card? I am net even sure where the orginals ones are.

Thanks
Pat

It probably has to do with your old and new cards having different volume names, as iSilo supports the use of multiple cards. Try giving the new card the same volume name as the old card.

How do I find out the volume name and how do I change the name?

Thanks

I checked on the card and both are simply named card. I put the old one in and went to card info and it says the name is card. I went to the commnetaries and they opened fine. I put the new one and it says in info the name is card but when I try to open the commentaries it says the commentary is on volume " " and cannot be found. Just quotes no name.

How do I find out the volume name and how do I change the name?In the Palm application launcher screen, start Card Info. In the Card menu, tap "Rename Card".

Make sure the files are in the same folder on the new card as on the old card. Are they?

If you go to the All category, are the files on the new card listed?

I checked in Zlauncher and the files are in the same folder on each card. When I open iSilo and change the categories to all they are all listed. Then when I go to iSilo and tools and open file I can still open them. So I put the old card back in checked the name it is named the same on card name but when I opened it and went to Edit and then to Document Information it said the file was on "unknown" for the card name. I renamed the orginal to Card again and now it can't find the file on either one.

So when I name the card in the card info place it messed it up. Now I have to go the tools and open each file that way on both cards and I can't unname them because that is not an option in Card Info. What do I do now?

Thanks
Pat

Just for everyone else's information out there, this discussion relates to the old document list view that was in versions 4.01 and prior of "iSilo for Palm OS". The new document list view works almost entirely differently.

Pat, with your new card inserted, in iSilo's document list view menu, go to the Tools menu and tap Synchronize List. Note that this will remove settings that you had for your documents, such as any categorizations and local bookmarks that you may have set, but will synchronize the list to what iSilo actually sees. After using the Synchronize List command, make sure that you are in the All category. Do you see your document's listed?

Thank you that did it and now everythinng is okay. I just catgorized them and they are all fine. I guess I should have tried the synchronize on my own. Thanks again for you help. Is there a new iSilo that I should be using?

If your current version of iSilo works fine and you don't use documents that require a newer version, then it is really up to you whether you want to upgrade to a newer version based on what has changed. See the revision history (http://www.iSilo.com/info/revhist.htm) page for a complete list of changes.
