Good Evening.

I am trying to install iSiloX 4.30b1 on my OS X (10.3.9) and I'm getting the following error message:

Sorry, the operation could not be completed due to a System error: (Access Denied).

Then after clicking "OK", I get the following message:

Installation did not complete successfully. Do you wish to attempt to reinstall the software or to quit?

Maybe there's some setting on my user account that's off? I've not come across this in previous installs. Also, is it OK to use iSilo 4.30b1 on my Zodiac2 even though I can't get iSiloX 4.30b1 onto my OS X (converting the documents using the older 4.28)?
Thanks.

Try installing iSiloX while logged-in as an administrator.

Yes, it is okay to use iSilo 4.3 even if you are not using iSiloX 4.3.

Thanks. I thought my user was an administrator, and surely enough I just checked my System Preferences and my user is an "Admin". I tried to restart the computer hoping that it might refresh something vital, but still no go.

Is there anything I'm overlooking? I'm going from iSiloX 4.28 straight to 4.30b1, do I need to update to 4.29 first then to 4.30b1? I'll try that now.

I just tried to install 4.29 and got the same error message. Maybe I need to uninstall 4.28 first? I hesitate to do so, and I don't remember having to do so before.

Another thing, when I get the eroor message it's after most of the installation has been completed and and after clicking out of the message box I can open the application and it looks normal. Could it be that the software is installing correctly and something on my system thinks it's not? I'll try to see if the not-installed-correctly software is functional.

I just tried to convert a document and it appears to work just fine. Curious. I checked "About iSiloX" and is showed I was using 4.3b1.
