Every time I exit iSilo, and reenter it - I'm back to the file list view (although when I left - I was inside a document). When I open the last viewed document - I'm not at the same location I was previously. Somehow I succeeded to remember a location once - and now I'm always back to that location, no matter where I was previously. This is not the behavior I'm used to from PalmOS (just migrated from PalmOS to WM5). Any clue as to whether it's a bug - or I'm doing something wrong?
I'm using HTC Wizard (Imate K-Jam), with Windows Mobile 5.0, iSilo 4.29
Thanks!

If you explicitly shut iSilo down by using the Exit command in the List menu of iSilo's document list view or use Start/Settings/Memory/Running Programs/Stop, then when you restart iSilo, it starts in the document list view. However, if you leave iSilo running, such as if you go directly to another application and then return to iSilo, it should be at the same place you were last time, that is, either in the document list view, or the same location of the document you were viewing.
In the case were you shut iSilo down and start it again later, whereby it starts in the document list view, when you do open a document, it should return to the last location you were at. However, if the last location you were at is within a table, the returned location will be at the top of the top-level table row containing the content. If you are not sure whether this situation applies to you, then while viewing the document, go to the Tools menu and tap Options. In the Options dialog, tap the Content tab, set the Layout setting to "Disable table layout", then tap OK. Now close the document and re-open it to see if it makes a difference.

The behavior you described is what I would expect, however, this is not what I see happening. I exit iSilo by switching to another application, and when I'm back - I'm in the list view. I reboot the device, and when I reenter iSilo - it's in the list view (as, perhaps, is expected), but when I enter the document - it is not in the same position - it's in a different file of a multi-file document! Could it have something to do with WM5 new persistant storage model? Just a guess...

Did you modify the iSilo installation, such as renaming the iSilo executable file? If so, then that sounds like it would be an explanation for the behavior you describe.

No, I did not modify the installation. I did revert from the latest 4.30 beta to 4.29, but the problem occured before, so this is not the cause (but rather a consequence). I do have additional data though: when I reboot the device while the iSilo is in the document view, and start iSilo again once the device is up, it is in the list view, and when I open that document, the location is lost. Then I open the \My Documents\iSilo\Settings directory - and there's a new file with the name of that document (that is, if the original was named "a", then after the reboot I have both "a" and "a~1"). The number of files is equal to the number of reboots. They tend to be of the same size. I guess, that when the device is rebooted, the file is not closed properly, and then iSilo, when restarted, is unable to open the file, thus it creates a new one (or some such thing). I am sure reboot is not the only scenario that causes the location to get lost, but perhaps dealing with the reboot will solve the other scenarios as well.
Thanks!
