where to download Chinese files

Hi,

I just managed to make the iSilo program displaying files in Chinese characters. However I only found one file (Chinese Poems) in Chinese. Anyone can tell me where I can download some files in Chinese? Is there anyway to convert PC text files or MS Word files to be read in iSilo?

You can use iSiloX to convert plain text files and HTML files to iSilo format. In Word, you can save a file in HTML or Web Page format for use with iSiloX.

If you convert plain text files, you will need to specify the source encoding using Properties/Document/Text Encoding Options, specifying the source encoding, whether it is Big5, GB, etc. HTML files usually specify their encoding in an internal header, but if an HTML file does not, you will also need to specify the source encoding.

For all file types you will also need to set the output encoding to either Big5 or GB, or other, depending on what system your Chinese display system uses.
