Hi; I asked this elsewhere before I realized I was in the wrong place. Sorry, Moderator, please feel free to trash that other post.
I am trying to convert an MSWord document into iSilo format. I am wondering how I get iSilo(X?) to recognize that my document is many pages long. Is the breakdown happening when I save the file as a web page, or when I convert the web page to iSilo? When I open it on my handheld, it shows me one long page instead of the 35 or so that I actually have.
Thanks again,
Rebecca

You need to have the content of each page in a separate file. Unfortunately it is not possible to have iSiloX break a single file into pages.

So, if I save each page as a separate file, is there a way to make it all one document again? at all? Or does every page become a separate document?
(Not sure if I'm asking this right)

When you add a new entry in iSiloX and get to the part where you add the list of sources, just add to the list all the source files you want in the document. The content of each file goes to its own page in the document.
If you have already created the entry for conversion, just go to the Properties dialog and to the Source tab to add files.

OK, I did that, and I was able to get multiple pages. However, all the hyperlinks I set up in my original document don't work anymore. Is there a different way to set them up, or is hyperlinking not possible this way? (They were 'inside' links to different sections of the document from the table of contents, not 'outside' links to web pages.)
Thanks,
Rebecca

You would have to redo all the links in that case, probably manually one by one.

... redo them where?
Are you saying I can make a document that I have saved from Word in html format link to another html document? And that iSiloX will understand and respect those links?
If so, how do I do that?
If that's not what you're saying, can you please explain a little more?
Appreciate your patience,
Rebecca

Yes, a link from one html document to another.
Take a look at the how to create a hyperlinked document in Microsoft Word, which shows specific steps to create internal links within a Word document, but the same general process works for creating external links. The additional step is that you would need to specify the file where the target of the link is. You may need to save all your files in WebPage/HTML format first before doing this so that you have the right file names.
Take a look in Word's help for details on creating hyperlinks in Word documents.

Hello,
I am trying to following the above instructions in creating an pdb file for my pocket pc from a word document. I am getting the error message when I click on the link "Unresolved links: file:///d%3a/shuang/ministry%20books/1-1.doc#Chapter1". Do you know why? Thanks in advance.
