Potential windows mobile 5 issue on axim x51v

Hi. The 4.29 beta1 version is looking really good on my axim x51v. However some issues remain.


1. An odd error occurs while using the program : something like "wmcse.exe"
and windows mobile asks for an error message to be sent to microsoft.

2. Stylus tap is not all that accurate within isilo. I think this is specific to
isilo becasue navigating within other parts of windows mobile has good
accuracy. For example, when i click on a link in one of my isilo
documents it highlights a link one or two lines up. This is not consistent
but occurs every 5-10 link selections and is annoying.

3. Not sure if this is related to isilo but the CF card where are my isilo files
are on disappears i.e. isilo is unable to find the folder and a soft reset is
needed

This occurs usually when crossing out of a large isilo document to go to the main library.

The sample documents are around 60 mB each and i dont think they can be emailed. However, the links are close together on each line of the document looking down the page.

e.g.

jim <hyperlinked>
john<hyeprlinked>
egg<hyperlinked> etc

could it be the fact the links are on top of one another? Is there anyway to space them out a line and a half?

I had this error this morning and it seems I can no longer even access the CF card in file explorer. I think this actually may be a windows mobile 5 issue. A soft reset brings it back.

We aren't able to reproduce the problems you mention and it could be that all the problems you mentioned are related to the same document (e.g., large document stored on CF card). If you have a website where you can upload one of your large sample files, then you can let us know the URL for downloading the file so that we can try to reproduce the problems.

Can I first say that you guys are amazing at how promptly you respond to queries. You really are great.


In relation to the disappearing CF card, I have checked out some axim forums and it seems that others are also having this problem and some without isilo installed. So it is either a hardware or winodws mobile 5 issue. Some are also having their SD card disappear from file explorer.


I dont have a webpage to upload the file to. I dont think it is specific to one file, but specific to a group of encoded files which all have the same property: links stacked closed on top of one another.

We converted the two sites to a depth of one with the med site coming out to about 165M and the neuro site coming out to about 50M, then copied the files to a CF card and viewed them using 4.29 beta 1 on an Axim X51v. But we were unable to reproduce any of the problems you describe. Does the touch screen problem occur only with certain links in the files, or all of them? If only certain ones, is it consistent? If so, can you point (e.g., describe) out a few of those links so that we can try them in our converted results?

Its pretty random e.g. clicking on the link for conns syndrome opens the congenitally corrected transposition link above.......

It happens once or twice and then ok - the link works.

Its random which makes me think perhaps it is a digitiser issue. Thanks for the help. I think isilo is ready but my axim x51v/windows mobile 5 is not. Time to call Dell............... again.
