Hi,

I just installed iSiloX 4.28 on Mac OS X 10.4.2. The last bug ("iSiloX only installing every second document?") seems to be fixed - thanks for that.

Alas, there seems to be another problem: the new version hangs during conversion of "http://www.palminfocenter.com/mobile/" with link depth 2 (only the Mac version, Win version runs well). The last source that was displayed to be retrieved was "http://www.palminfocenter.com/mobile/profile.asp?ID=1", which results in error code 404 when being tried to open in a browser.

Any hints about this bug?
Regards,
Mario.

We've been unable to reproduce the problem. If it happens again, let us know so that we can try again.

Hi,

so far, every conversion hangs at different sources. I attached an excerpt from my iSilo configuration - perhaps it is some setting that causes the problem?

Mario.

I've noticed this a couple of times myself. I generally set my iSiloX to convert during the night so I can wake up and HotSync the files, and every now and then the .IXL will have failed during the night and iSiloX doesn't respond. I have to "Force Quit" iSiloX, then restart the .IXL to get the files I want. If I'm not working that day, I can HotSync later and get the files on my Zodiac2. If I am working that day, I have to let iSiloX do the conversions while I'm gone and then I don't get the files on my Z2 until after I get back home.

I wish I could accurately post what steps are causing the crash, but because my routine doesn't change and because the issue comes and goes at will, it's a mystery to me. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one going through this.

Not last night (Thursday), but Wednesday night the same thing happened. I woke up in the morning expecting my conversions to be dona and came upon the "Application not Responding" error message from iSiloX.

Nothing different changed in my approach to using the program. I "Force Quit" the program and restarted it, and then had to wait for it to convert all of my channels (about 40 MB's) all from scratch.

Luckily I didn't have to work that day (Thursday.) Unluckily really, but at least I was able to read today's channels instead of yesterday's channels (again.)

Well, at least, I am not alone with this problem - alas, that will not fix it... :)

Two from three conversions failed the last days. Today, conversion went through without a problem - although I did no change anything in my settings. One interesting thing is: conversion *only* fails on my Mac, but *nether* on my PC at work!?

I think I may have noticed somethng, the last time my iSiloX hung up a podcast had been downloaded in the middle of my conversion. Maybe that somehow interrupts iSiloX and causes the timeout?

Of course, it means nothing if no one else has podcast software downloading in the background. Just a thought.

Since installing Mac OS X update 10.4.3 and iSiloX 4.29, the problem has not occured again so far. I hope this not to be a temporary thing... :)

It's happened to me again the last two nights. I think that having a podcaast download in the background interrupts iSiloX and it cannot recover and just hangs until iSiloX is "Force Quit" and restarted. I thought the latest release might fix the issue, but it still seems to exist.
