I downloaded isilo for windows today off the downloads page, and it keeps telling me I'm in limited mode when I try to click on a link. The docs say it starts in trial mode for 30 days, but... apparently not.
Any idea how I can get my trial??

Perhaps you somehow placed yourself into trial mode, so try the following first:
1. Go to the Tools menu and click Options.
2. In the Options dialog, click the Mode tab.
3. Uncheck "Free mode".
4. Tap OK.
If the above does not work, then the reason is that iSilo transitions from "trial mode" into "free mode" when the 30-day trial period expires. That can happen for one of two reasons:
iSilo was installed at least 30 days in the past even if it was a different version (e.g., later or earlier version).
The date on computer was set to some time in the future by the user (usually the far future to try to circumvent date checking) before iSilo was installed and then after iSilo was installed, the date on the computer was set to some time in the past.

Thank you. I tried unchecking the free mode option, and it said that my trial period was up. I do not understand what is happening. This machine has NEVER had any previous version of isilo for windows, or Isilo reader for any platform, installed before. It has had isiloX converter installed, but that has only been there for 20 days approximately. And the date on the computer has never been adjusted away from the current date.
:( any further tips you can give would be appreciated.

whoops... now that I come to think of it, it's just possible that I might have mistakenly installed isilo on this machine and uninstalled it many many months ago, when I was looking for palm doc reader software for a palmpilot. when it wasn't what I was looking for at the time, I probably got rid of it immediately. Grrr.
Oh well.
