Hi there,
I have been trying to use iSilo X on OS X 10.4 to convert files into isilo PDB format. However, I have been frustrated by the inability of the Macintosh OS X version of iSilo X to convert documents using the entire file name of the document. For instance a file name of "XXXXX VVVVV QQQQQ YYYYY ZZZZZ.HTML" gets set to "XXXX VV#123ASD.PDB". There is no way around this. With the Windows version, the entire filename is preserved. What can be done to address this?
Is this an artifact of the older Mac OS 9 family support that is embedded in the Mac version? If so, can a PURE OS X version be created, using XCode and Cocoa to eliminate this problem for OS X users. Please note that the new Intel-based Macs coming out in a year will need to have programs written using XCode and Cocoa in order to function natively (i.e. no Rosetta translations), so it might be a good idea to get started anyway.
Any workarounds for this in the mean time?
