The link in the isilo web site to offsite help http://www.pcre.org/ in this is way to advanced for myself. Something between what is actually on the isilo website and that would be helpfull. Or any further more helpfull links.

:)
Thanks

If you want to use regular expressions for pattern matching of URLs, try doing a search for "regular expression tutorial" on the Web. You'll come up with many hits where you can learn more.

Regular expressions may a bit difficult if you aren't as technically inclined, and so in that case, you may want to just stick with wildcard patterns, which are easy to understand but of course not as powerful as regular expressions.

The iSiloX/iSiloXC manual gives several examples of wildcard and regular expression patterns and how they match against some example URLs. It would also be helpful to study those examples.

I use as my base the regular updated version, latest as of today here:

Filterset.G [http://www.geocities.com/pierceive/adblock]=2005-01-02a

Can I import this, as I would import it into AdBlock under Firefox?

Retyping is so last-millenium ...
