Problem displaying chinese on Nokia6680

Hi,

I just downloaded the beta version to try on my Nokia 6680. I converted the text file with encoding UTF-8 with source encoding GB2135. I can read the file without any problem but can only read square characters with the symbian version of iSilo. I have attached the source file (test.txt) and the file I converted (test.zip) as reference.

It seems that there is not really any attention from iSilo on this issue. Does that mean we don't need to expect much from iSilo on chinese on s60?

Sorry we hadn't yet been able to get around to looking at your files yet.

The files look fine. Does your device have Chinese support built-in?

Thanks. My phone can display chinese characters correctly in all other menu and browsers.

It seems that there are other users used to display chinese in isilo on s60 device but becomes square characters now.

I just tried using Qreader and it works fine.

I tried again with iSilo and also changed the font to chinese font but still failed.

Can you try version 4.27 (http://www.iSilo.com/download/index.htm) to see if it works?

Also, try the suggestion given in this thread about changing the fonts.
