I use a program called GSAK which manages Geocaching data. It has a function to create a folder of HTML files to my hard disk and then I use isiloX to convert for hotsync to the Tungsten T3. All works ok when I am not connected to the internet. It takes about 3 minutes to convert around 1200 files and the total download is around 4mb in size. However if I convert while on the internet, it takes hours (dial-up) and the file size is around 23mb. This is because I get all of the graphics and colour photos as well which I subsequently realised is handy to have. My questions are:

1. why does the conversion go and get all of this good stuff when I am converting a file from my hard drive and not directly from the net? I have limited the links to 1 - but it still finds all of the photos etc. I am assuming that GSAK doesn't keep the graphics in the data base that I download onto my computer and goes and find them on the net, every time I open a file. (just need confirmation of my thinking I guess)

2. Now that I see what it can convert, is there any quicker way to download with the internet connected - I guess cable would help, but it is not available where I live.
Thanks for any assistance

you either have to suppress 'online links' in the gsak html export, or you have to disable 'following external links' in isilox!
