Installed iSilo 4.27 on XDAII (with PXA623 chip). When try to start the program nothing seems to happen except the whole of the system goes slow. Mysteriously (after frustratedly playing with trying to open and close other programs) iSilo suddenly appears and works correctly (and fast). There seems to be a real problem which stops the program starting up swiftly - as if it goes away to tie up the system for a few minutes before it eventually finishes loading. This happens whether the program itself is clicked on, or one of the "pdb" files.

Can anyone throw any light on the problem? Am I missing something obvious?

Many thanks

Bernard

No real ideas, but can you try closing all your currently running programs by going to Start/Settings/System/Memory/Running Programs and tapping Stop All? Then try starting iSilo. Is it still slow in starting up?

Thanks, administrator, for your suggestion. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back with the result.

Unfortunately closing everything down and tapping the iSilo icon does not change matters. Nothing apparently happens except the icon becoming "faded" indicating the tap has been registered. Attempts to do anything else produce the desired results - but all very slowly as if the device is busy on something important! Eventually (after about 3 minutes) iSilo itself suddenly opens up and functions normally - with all other activities once again reverting to full-speed. Note that iSilo does not seem to open up unless I tap the bar at the top of the screen (after 3 minutes these taps are in frustation!); just leaving the machine alone after tapping the iSilo icon I can wait and wait and nothing appears - although it does seem to reach the state where a simple tap on the top of the screen will make iSilo appear.

The above behaviour does not seem to be affected by whether the phone has been turned off or not.

It seems to me that iSilo is getting locked into trying to do something in the course of opening which the system is objecting to. This XDA II is quite a common machine - it would surprise me if other owners hadn't tried iSilo. I wonder if anyone else has had the same problem...

Thanks for any clues you can give me.

NB I use iSilo constantly with no problems on my hp PDA - the XDA belongs to a friend whom I'm trying to get to use iSilo.
