I'm totally baffled by iSilo's treatment of row background colors in tables. I've got a Palm Tungsten T3, and I'm using iSiloX on WinXP. When I view the "iSilo Display Sample" on my Palm, it renders the colored background rows of the various sample tables (http://www.isilo.com/support/sample/iSiloDisplaySample/tables/tables.htm) without any problems. However, any file I make myself doesn't have any background color. Even if I cut and paste the source code for one of those sample tables into a new document and convert it with iSiloX, it comes out plain white when viewed on my Palm. In addition to rows, it will also not apply a background color to individual cells or whole tables.
Anyone have any ideas?

Check the Properties dialog for the entry you created for conversion. On the Color tab, make sure that for the Background box, you have "Keep all background colors".

Hooray! Thank you so much!!
(now if I'd only known that this morning, it would have saved me hours of frustration  )

While we're on the subject of tables, I have another question. Why can I not get iSiloX to obey the "valign" tag, either for table rows or cells? Everything is always aligned to the top.

iSilo does not have support for vertical alignment so that is why valign does nothing.

That seems odd - why not?

Only because it has not been implemented.
