I'm new to iSilo and using it to load info from U.S. Restaurants for Weight Watcher use. The problem is, there are hundreds of them and I would like to create small files of one or two first letters (in other words, A-B for all restaurants beginning with those letters, etc).

If this can be done, do I do it on my computer, then transfer the smaller files one by one, or do I do it right on the PDA? I'm using the Palm OS version.

It is not possible to combine or split already converted iSilo documents. You would need access to the HTML source files and combine or split them at that level.

Thank you for your input. Is it beyond the scope of this forum to ask how one would do that? I have a little knowledge about these things, but I'm not sure I know what to do. I did group these items into separate folders on my desktop, but when I went to install them onto the PDA, I had to go to the file level to install, and lost the "separation" of the separate folders.

One hint: I used to have these restaurants on an older PDA, and they were grouped into separate databases. Don't know what to do with that information, however!

Perhaps categorizing your files may be what you're after. Categorizing allows you to group your files into categories and sub-categories. You can find information in the iSilo manual about categorizing documents in the document list view section.
