I really like my blackberry. But I am so disappointed that there is not a version of Isilo for blackberry. Why hasn't this been done?

I hope there will be an isilo version for the BB as well. I am a long-time user of iSilo for my Treo and recently switched to a BB8100. It would be great to have the program be compatible with the external memory card as well.

Have used iSilo on Palm for years & recently acquired a BB only to find this device is not supported. How disappointing.
The main program i use requires iSilo, leaving me with few options.
Came here to get iSilo for BB and instead am posting this to indicate my support.
Likely many others come, discover they are not supported and quickly find an alternative without saying anything.
I encourage others in this situation to take the time to voice your support for iSilo on BB.
To the developers, Please consider this—for every one who speaks up there are likely 10 to even 100 who say nothing.

Well this breaks my heart. I have a new love in my life. It's the Blackberry Pearl. I was hoping that the union of iSilo and BB would have been sooner than later.

PLEASE Please please make this happen!
Thanks Gene

I would like to see iSilo for the Blackberry - I am looking to get a smartphone / PDA type device and the new Blackberry 8820 looks great and has the features i want except that (as I am learning), iSilo documents/program is not compatible. Hopefully this will change by September (when I get my new phone). Please take note RIM and iSilo - thank you.

Is there any other program that will run on the blackberry and enable me to see iSilo files in the way iSilo does?

Although there are no specific plans as to when a version of iSilo will be available for Blackberry devices, it is under serious consideration. There are no other applications available that can be used to view iSilo documents on a Blackberry device.

I am also waiting for a iSilo Blackberry release. I find it interesting that there is a new Blackberry plugin for Microsoft Visual Studio, so if the iSilo dev team don't want to touch the JDE there is always that option?

I have said before that I would supply the hardware if needed but RIM have Blackberry Device Simulators which can be tested against!

PLEASE develope this soon!

To admin I noticed that 7/18/07 there is serious consideration of adding Isilo for Blackberry.

Has there been any more progress on this ?

If Isilo did go for supporting Blackberry what is the time schedule ?

There are a number of us who use wtlib and have to have isilo. Blackberry version would make this easier.

Thanks
Djh

At this point we are going forward with development of a version of iSilo for Blackberry, but until it is ready enough to go public, we can not promise specific dates. Our current rough estimates place a beta sometime in the first quarter of next year (Q1 '08) and a release sometime in the second quarter (Q2 '08).

This is great news. While Palm as served me very well since the Palm III came out, they are lost - I RIM seems to be the next platform of choice (at least for me).

I am guessing that this means you all are J2ME developers now!

I also would be interested in being a beta tester. I have been a Palm user since nearly the first version.

I look forward to having this great software on my BlackBerry. :)

Palm is out and Blackberry is in. Get with the program and put out a Blackberry product or watch the industry shift to Mobipocket and others. I am part of a large company (multi-national Bank). Our company, with thousands of employees are standardizing on Blackberry. Other companies are doing the same. You should have had a product release no less than 12 months ago. We are still waiting; but not for long.

I am writing this message to join my voice to the voices who already have stated that they want iSilo support for the blackberry.

This will be a very good move since the blackberry market is much larger than the windows mobile and symbian market combine.

I understand that the SDK from RIM was not available as it has for Symbian and Microsoft, but this version is a no brainer and it will be (I predict) a cash cow for the iSilo company.

Thank you for listening to your target audience and for keeping us inform.

I have used isilo for several years and just upgraded to a Pearl (and yes I mean upgrade, love the phone). I knew going in that isilo was not available yet for the Pearl but I just really hope that it will come soon. Administrators, please consider all of the potential customers that you will be able to tap into by pursuing this version. Thanks.
